Process Safety & Risk Engineering
Chemlyst evaluates chemical-process hazards, operating risks and engineering safeguards to assess whether a manufacturing facility is suitably prepared for the proposed process.
Chemlyst provides assessment and coordination within an agreed project scope. Formal studies, calculations and deliverables depend on available process data and the responsibilities defined with the customer and proposed manufacturing facility. Execution remains with qualified partner facilities unless otherwise agreed.
A. Process safety information review
- Chemical identity and hazardous properties.
- Process chemistry and reaction characteristics.
- Operating temperature and pressure.
- Maximum intended operating limits.
- Equipment design conditions.
- Process flow diagrams and P&IDs, where available.
- Material compatibility.
- Existing safeguards and operating procedures.
B. Hazard identification & analysis
- PHA, HAZID, HAZOP, What-If, FMEA or checklist reviews as appropriate to project stage.
- Deviations from intended operating conditions.
- Loss of containment and credible failure scenarios.
- Preliminary screening is distinguished from formal facilitated studies.

Technical deliverables (scope-dependent)
- •Preliminary process safety screening summary.
- •Hazard and safeguard gap list.
- •Recommended actions before manufacturing readiness.
- •PSSR support, where applicable, within agreed scope.
Manufacturing readiness statements are based on agreed studies and evidence — not generic assurances of safe or compliant operation.
