Toll Manufacturing
Your documented process run on qualified infrastructure: raw-material accountability, safety compliance, in-process controls and batch records per the toll agreement — coordinated through one Chemlyst interface.
Use case
Customer-owned or specified process executed on infrastructure matched to chemistry, batch size, utilities and EHS controls — typical when you supply or specify raw materials and retain process IP.
Customer inputs
- Master batch record or validated process description
- Raw-material specifications and supply model (customer-supplied vs toll-purchased)
- Safety summary: exotherm, toxics, dust, relief scenarios
- Analytical methods, release criteria and change-control procedure
- Packaging, labelling and dispatch instructions
- NDA and partner disclosure scope before detailed exchange
Execution
- Map candidate sites against reaction class, MOC, working volume and downstream train
- Qualification visit or document review; agree trial protocol and success criteria
- Engineering check of utilities, EHS actions and analytical readiness
- Trial batch execution with deviation and sample retention per agreement
- Commercial campaigns with campaign plan, raw-material arrival windows and release testing
- Periodic review of yield, consumption norms and documentation completeness
Responsibilities
- Customer: process ownership, change approval, registration context where applicable
- Manufacturing site: safe operation, batch records, in-process testing and release per contract
- Chemlyst: site mapping, single commercial/technical interface, campaign coordination and escalation
- Analytical lab: per agreement — site QC, customer lab or third party
Deliverables
- Qualification summary and agreed batch record reference
- Executed trial and commercial batch records
- COA and retained samples per specification
- Yield, solvent balance and key consumption reporting
- Deviation, change and CAPA notifications within agreed timelines
